Well wasn't I just in a mood yesterday! I blame it on having to go back to work. As I was leaving the house yesterday morning I did make one last ditch effort to convince hubby that my immediate retirement was a very good thing. He didn't buy it for some reason.

I am also sure that no little part of the mood was due to my silly idea to install Diablo II on my machine Monday night. I am glad that I decided to do it on the last day of my holidays, or I would have had a far less productive week. It was quite enjoyable to waste 6 hours or so just mindlessly bashing people about the head. I'm building an assassin and a druid at the moment. I usually play an amazon so it will be interesting.

I also had my followup appointment with the RE yesterday. Now that I have had two miscarriages in under 6 months, he is going to investigate my recurrent miscarriages. This means plenty more poking and prodding. Two different sets of blood draws, checking for lupus, checking thyroid levels, clotting issues and a whole laundry list I don't remember, but turned out to be 7 vials drawn at 2 different clinics.

Unfortunately Ontario will not do genetic testing until after 3 miscarriages, and I am not prepared to wait for that. There is a clinic in Montreal that will do it for a 'couple of hundred' dollars. I will be following up on that one shortly.

And finally, tomorrow I go in for a hysterosonogram, supposedly less painful than an HSG (I know the initials are the same, but HSG is usually a hysterosalpingogram, and seeing that I no longer have my tubes, completely unneeded).

What originally started off as a free week, in which I'd continue crafting has very quickly booked itself up. Tonight I am looking after my twin nephews. I asked their mother to get them to dig out some photos, we're going to scrapbook! Tomorrow night the 'wits are planning dinner and a movie, and my sister invited me to the Ottawa/Calgary hockey game. So I think we'll crash dinner then hit the game.

Of course, the crack-smoking part of my brain went, 'no, this means we won't be able to start playing until after 11!' *sigh*

Looks like I won't get to bake the cookies I'm craving until Friday!

Now I'm off to grab some din and then terrorize a couple of 12 year olds.

Who does she think she is?

Good luck with the Dr's appointments!

I can't bake cookies either, I need to go buy eggs first. Tomorrow maybe, after I do grocery shopping.

Last week I tried the magic cookies that don't need all the ingredients I was missing - they were not so good. Never trust the recipe on the side of the peanut butter jar *g*.

Diablo II is VERY addictive. I go through phases where I obsess about the stuff...of course, I have never taken a character completely through hell, but that's my own damn fault.

I hope the testing comes up with an answer...one that can be dealt with. Best wishes, as always.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Most people look at me like I have two heads, 'you're still playing that?!' I never got into WoW or EQ.

I'm considering building a local character so she won't disappear off BN too.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Me neither...I'm not hugely into video games per se, but every once in a long while one grabs me and stays...I never did WOW or EQ either, alhtough I know people who have lost vast tracts of time to them. :D

I've only dabbled with the BattleNet stuff...we have a crappy dialup at home. Also, we have a slightly older version of DII, and we found that we didn't like the (albeit minor) changes that upgrading gave us. So we've only played with ourselves...wait...that didn't sound right.

Hahaha.

The other one that is calling me back is The Sims *g* There's an all-consuming game.

I've been meaning to ask you for a while, if you don't mind, would you send me your contact info to neeroc@livejournal.com? If you don't want to share it I understand.

I don't play any kind of video games. I've always been a sore looser.

Sorry you can't retire just yet~back to the every day commute.

I am sorry that Ontario won't just go ahead and to their testing already. It's painful having one miscarriage, and then on top of that the 2nd...why would any person want to risk a third? It's devastating to these couples, they shouldn't to that. Those that want to be tested should-period. Don't blame you for going to Montreal, it will be worth the money.

Hoping you all make some nice scrap books. Hope you get to enjoy that dinner and the hockey game tomorrow.

*I tend to burn whatever I bake-I suck!*

Mustn't have smashed computers - it's just a game. Do you play cards or boardgames or is that not a good scene either?

I should be grateful, they do cover a lot of IVF - I guess since they cover three rounds of IVF transfers, they will only cover the investigation after that??? I don't know - doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'll take a weekend in Montreal *g*

As for the burning baking - try a baking stone - much harder to burn stuff on!

Ha. My man is buying a new computer today partly so he can play Civ IV which just came out on Mac.

I hope you get some good info from all that testing, even if it's just to rule things out. Hope the other-hsg all went well.

Is the clinic in Montreal McGill? I talked to them a year or so ago and they are super impressive.

Oh - Civ! I only ever played the original, but loved it!

I don't know yet which clinic it is, I'll book the appointment tomorrow. I would assume that they are the most research oriented, and being associated with they University it would make the most sense.

I have heard a lot of great comments about Diablo II, I will have to try it eventually. I really enjoy RPGs, (and playing an amazon, now that sounds appealing!) :D

I hope your appointment for the HSG went well, Coreen.

Take care,
Jude :)

Thanks Jude - Diablo II is fun, but it can get a bit repetitive. It is really good to play in a group - you get the chat and can build on each other's skills.

Thanks for the good wishes, they didn't find anything horrible so I have more testing to do.
