Current Distraction: the colbert report
Due to my own stupidity my Diablo II Expansion disc was damaged beyond repair. Not just a scratch, but a full blown crack. Several co-workers thought they would be able to burn a copy, but my hopes were crushed this evening. No joy for Neeroc with the burned copy. I have a friend's disc and used it with my key to install, but he wants the disc back so I can't play the damn game. All those lovely characters expiring!

Blizzard will send you a new copy if you send in the damaged disc and a $10 money order. but that would involve me getting to a bank, getting a foreign currency money order, and getting it and the disc to the post office. I am almost lazy enough to just go buy another copy, but crap it pisses me off. I already own the software!
Who does she think she is?

Why don't you just buy a new one? Seriously, Diablo II is probably only 20 buck, silly girl!

I'm getting to that point. It ticks me off that I already own a copy though. But I am not going to go get a money order and the rest of that crap. Now to see if I can find a copy that isn't bundled.

Dunna buy another copy, just copy the ISO off your friend's copy and use Daemon Tools to mount the ISO onto a virtual CD or DVD Rom drive and, wallah, you play with no physical media needed...:)

I'd tried a 1:1 with Alcohol (Nero wouldn't even read the good CD).

The ISO didn't work, but an MDS does!
I thought the emulator would be a Pita, but its awesome.

Thank you!

How frustrating your copy of Diablo II disk is damaged!
I know how much you enjoy this game, and I know the feeling since I had a similar problem, (with a different game), in the past.

I wish I had one copy of Diablo II, I would have been very happy to send it to you.

I wish you will get another copy very soon!
