Mar. 20th, 2007 @ 10:53 pm It might be the hormones talking...
but I just finished watching 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason' and it was one of the least entertaining movies I have seen in a long time. It's like they thought they didn't even need to try. 'It worked the first time, why change anything? She'll be goofy, they'll fight and they end up together.' And really, is there any romantic interest? Shouldn't there be a spark in this 'serious' relationship? Not just talk of great shagging? Is there any interest there? Is her life really more complete with him? Maybe she should have given Rebecca a go. And do we need to have so many puffy-lipped close-ups? Can this woman not do any other facial expression than 'baffled'?
Who does she think she is?

I didn't like it either. I thought the acting forced and the plot useless.

Good to hear I'm not alone. Maybe it's not the hormones after all. *g*

No hormones talking. That movie sucked. The book was much better. I spent $$$ to see it in the theater and couldn't have been more disappointed, considering how much I loved the first one.
