Jun. 12th, 2008 @ 11:05 pm People are insane
I don't care how soft and squishy Goodmama diapers are, if they don't wipe my child's ass, and possibly cook me dinner, there is no way I'd pay $135 for one freaking diaper! How am I kidding, even if I didn't have to stalk her site, I'm not sure I'd pay $35 dollars for one!

Too bad I missed the screen cap of yesterday's auction where someone paid $750 for six of the damn things! People really have more money than brains. Do you think they let their children wear diapers that they pay that much for? Or do they cry the first time the kid craps in it? Do they delay potty training until their child is in their teens just to get their money's worth?
Who does she think she is?

I'm going to agree with you. 90% of my diapers are all made by WAHM. I believe most were $10. each and I don't think I would have gone much higher than that. Like you said, they are going to get pooped on and I don't think I would take things too well if I paid top money for something that would end up with poop. Besides, I don't have money to throw away like that. People are seriously crazy.

Um, I resisted the GM thing for a long, long time. I thought they were overhyped and too expensive. However, I tried one, and they are currently the only thing that stands up to my toddler's night pee. I like the one-size feature- they will fit until he is out of diapers, so less hassle of having to buy more. Since I work outside the home, I do have some extra cash to throw at diapers, and I don't need tons of them since I unfortunately must use disposables at school. If I change my mind and want to hock them, there are many crazy fools willing to pay more than I did to re-home them. :)

That said I DO NOT GET the $100+ per diaper OR the $700+ for only a box of 6 (making that more than $100 per diaper.) How can you not invest that money in the child's college fund?

Heh, I'm actually certain that my hubby would argue that with all the diaper making supplies I've purchased, we're well over $100 per dipe *g* (he exaggerates...)

But I did get myself some yummy bamboo velour to try making my own fitteds with.

It's really the utmost in stupidity isn't it. I love the Goodmama wetbags but I paid about $50 for a large AND medium wetbag. Some of the dipes are adorable but not that adorable!
