Then, I was able to do the wheel pose for the first time ever! Well, ever as an adult anyways. It was a rather unfortunately short-lived joy, as while I was still in the pose my lower back muscles (aka back fat) cramped up. Really not much you can do to relieve that discomfort except fall to the mat in agony. I think I managed to cover my discomfort fairly well, grabbing my knees to my chest and rolling around while whimpering softly. The neighboring mats really couldn't giggle, as they were stuck in their own poses *g*.
My spazzing aside, it was an absolutely genius idea to have her come in on our lunch breaks, I'm doing all sorts of variations I would never try at home, I'm doing yoga more often now and I feel so much better in the afternoon. Now I just have to find something to do on the lunch hours the rest of the week! Now that it's cool enough I really should start running again, but the thought of starting all over again (yes I haven't run since July) is just so discouraging. I'm not even sure at this point if I could do a 5k! and the Resolution Run is in 19 days - eep.
