Mar. 11th, 2006 @ 07:43 pm Okay - I admit it.
I am key-ranky! Hubby offered to go to Dairy Queen for Blizzards, all I had to do was find the car keys and call the store to make sure they were open. I have zero patience for looking for the keys right now, so I cranked at him to forget it, it wasn't worth the effort (WTF?).

Luckily he's a patient man, so a cookie dough or Smartie Blizzard is on its way back to me as I type. Maybe that will make it all better.

PS - for my American friends, Smarties are like M&Ms, but about 1000x better, in Canada (and I think the rest of the world).
Who does she think she is?

They are: http://www.typetive.com/candyblog/2005/09/head-to-head-smarties-vs-mms.html I like the thicker shell, you can scoop the chocolate out then eat the candy coating. *g*

Smarties are yum! Aren't they the ones that had the letter on the end or something and you can launch the top by hitting the middle of the carboard case?

They are (or at least they were in the UK). We've always gotten them in a rectangular cardboard box like this - http://www.typetive.com/candyblog/2005/09/head-to-head-smarties-vs-mms.html

We do, but I have to admit I have a weird thing about chocolate with holes in it - Maltesers, Aero and Kitkat, anything with ricecrispies in chocolate...just wrong *g*

I don't think I've ever seen those, but I haven't really been looking lately. We just have the plain bars I think, and maybe jumbo bars. It appears the UK gets all the good candy.

At least you get smarties. That's so not fair. Why can't they just send them down here, too?

Say it ain't so! *g* I like that the shell is harder on Smarties, so you can crack them open, scoop out the chocolate then eat the sugar shell. I find M&Ms taste burnt for some reason...

Oooh, better than M&M's? They must be good. :) Smarties in the US are sugary little discs rolled in cellophane and are really cheap. The kids always get far too many at Halloween.

We call those guys Rockets up here (made by the same co, but I guess Nestle was here first). They are my absolute favorite Halloween candy! I eat them by the thousands *g*

Oh Smarties! Chocoholic heaven. A little sweeter than M&M's (and most American chocolate).

I wonder how many tubes I have eaten in my life...

Check this out. When Nestle changed the packaging last year the whole country was in uproar...

Someone else on my FL was just talking about her love of Smarties! She's American.

I'm sure a Blizzard will help make it lots better. I can't wait for my local DQ to open so I can get a Peanut Buster Parfait!
