I have come to realize that trying to eat healthy sucks. It is almost impossible for me to consume 2000 calories/day. Stick a quiche or bag of Oreos in front of me and I'll snarf the whole thing, but I'm trying to be good, and I've signed up for this pregnancy tracking website. I'm making sure I add everything, and it's freaking impossible! I range between 1600 and 1800 and I feel completely bloated. Give me back those empty calories! I'm sure some of it has to do with cutting back on exercise, I just don't need the extra calories now, and I can't just eat for the sake of stuffing calories into me. One of the areas I'm having the biggest problem is with getting 'enough' fat. They claim I should be eating 15% protein, 30% fat and 55% calories from carbs. I'm more like 30% protein, 15% fat and 55% carbs. I just can't do it. There is no way I could ever eat the food pyramid, I'd end up gnawing on my arm for protein.
