Feb. 13th, 2007 @ 08:54 am How many years has it been?
Was it '99 when good ole' Mel Lastman called in the army to take care of a mere 30" of accumulated snow in Toronto? At the moment after he made the call, I wonder if he had any realization about the mirth that call would generate, and it's longevity.

How many news readers, even today, find a story about a snowstorm ready to hit the GTA with 20" of snow and wonder if they'll have to call in the army?

And is it wrong that I wish we were getting 20" instead of the 4" of snow they are predicting for us? Its just not right that my pup can dig around a bit in the backyard and hit grass.
Who does she think she is?
eh?

If we had that much snow in London the place would shut down until April...

There is a certain, wonderful exhaustion that comes from spending the day playing in the cool, crisp, winter snow, but I completely understand liking never having experienced it.

As for the pup, he digs after he does his business all year, but you can really notice it when he's kicking up grass on top of the snow.
