The school where hubby works had a new boiler installed and the entire job has been a true clusterf&*k. Yesterday hubby noticed a huge build-up of ice on the stack. He requested that the shop send in a cherry-picker to knock the ice off. Not only is there a huge danger posed to the students, but really, it's a chimney there shouldn't be icicles hanging from it.
The board's liason/project manager replied, asking if a custodian couldn't just climb up and knock the ice away, to which my husband sent the following picture:
Please pay very close attention to the 8' ladder. The ice appears to be slightly out of reach. There is a 10' ladder on site, but he's not sure it will be much more help.
