I'm sure this is no surprise to anyone, but Justin Trudeau has confirmed that he will seek the Liberal nomination in a Quebec riding in the next federal election. Young blood, famous, not tied to the old boys network of the immediately previous Liberal governments, and non-lawyer. He and Sophie are a gorgeous, charismatic young couple. They are personable, and to put it in American terms, they're looking like a John and Jackie, with a touch of the environmental Al thrown in. Seems to be a Liberal dream. Are we sure he's just looking for a riding? Given that he's tight with Gerrard Kennedy, who is currently heading up election readiness, is there anything Stephane Dion needs to be worried about?

It is interesting that his competition for the Liberal nomination in Papineau might be a woman, given that the Libs are hoping to have at least 1/3 of their candidates be women in the next election. This one they may just let the candidates duke it out. (Don't even get me started on how annoying it is to have the central party parachute a candidate into a riding!)

  • Goodbye 2010, you bitch.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Sure, you started off all full of hope and promise and cheer. In January there was my brother’s wedding…

  • The post I need to write

It's been a long time since I gave a real update here and I've been struggling with my lack of posting. Much of the posting I had done was in private…

  • Keeping track

After days of no spotting I just started again. Lots and not like before. Damn I'm back to heart attack city
