When I headed down to the lake on Saturday, I startled a bird that was picking at the deer bones on the lake. I had my camera, but it was hightailing it out of there. One thing I can confirm is that it had a huge wingspan. It stayed circling above the trees on the other side of the lake, and I hung around for a half hour or so, but passing snowmobiles meant it was never coming back. I thought turkey vulture at first, (it was a fuzzy speck that I was snapping away at), but that sure looks like a white head to me, and I don't see the lighter pattern under the wings. I manged to get a couple of fuzzy shots, what do you think?
