Go ask Alice when she's ten feet tall.

One thing I forgot to post about the trip to TO, and BMG was the funniest freakin part of the show. The decided that the audience singing 'White Rabbit' (Jefferson Airplane "one pill makes you taller, and one pill makes you small...") would be a great idea, but to make it more fun the provided 3 different versions of the lyrics. One for the peeps that remembered the song, one for the peeps too young, and I really can't remember the third, I think it was none of the above.

Now White Rabbit wouldn't be my first choice of karaoke song at the best of times. Throw in a whole audience singing 3 different sets of lyrics, and it was a flippin mess!

Thought of it two days ago, and I've been giggling and its been playing in my head ever since.

What is this the Superbowl?

Nothing like objectifying women. The local football team announced yesterday that they were going to have a 'Mardi Gras style' promotion at each home game. Men in the rowdiest section of the stands will be given beads, yep, beads and the chick that collects the most beads at the end of the game will win a thousand dollars. Or, in the words of one of my disgusted (male) colleagues - titties everywhere. I mean, come on. They are claiming they aren't suggesting women have to flash to get their beads, but how else do they expect it to happen? Now throw these women in with a couple of thousand drunk and rowdy football fans, and I say you're just asking for trouble. I know it, you know it, and they know it. I can't imagine the harassment that will be taking place. They have actually opened up additional seating for anyone who recently bought really cheap tickets for their families, so they can move away from what will be happening. But they don't see anything wrong with this promotion.

Funny thing is, it isn't illegal for a woman to go topless in Ontario. The province recognizes that breasts are not sexual organs. Too bad the football club doesn't.
