The funniest woman on earth - and she knits!

Knitters can not only be funny, they can be downright pee-your-pants hilarious. Stephanie has written one bookbookbook (her word not mine) - Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much and has another one coming out in September.

She is at the end of a very long (+5 months) book tour and after reading today's entry I would have to say the end will come none too soon.

EDIT: true funniness occurs after the knitting pics.

Hubby is now greatly concerned for my mental health - I think the spontaneous uncontrollable giggles every time I think about this are really starting to worry him.

Curtis Porter update

The auction went spectacularly! I'm not sure how many tickets they sold, but they ended up raising $16,750.00 for the family.

I wasn't interested in any of the live auction items, but I did help raise the pricing on lots of the silent auction items. *g* Anything that I thought wasn't getting enough money I'd bid on... luckily I only got stuck buying one item. I am the proud owner of 100 tanning minutes. Not sure what the heck I'm going to do with them.

One amazing couple donated their U2 tickets on the spot to the live auction! They helped bring in an extra $600.

The Stones tickets - big draw for the evening, went for around $700. The couple that donated them bought them back - I guess they really wanted to see them - the spent over $1000 for 2 tickets.
