Crap, crap, crap

Watching the non-confidence vote now...

EDIT: 7:08 pm - 171 yeas to 133 nays. The government has fallen, and we're in an election.

I don't even know how I feel about this - I know I have some work to do for the campaign, a have friends that are now out of work, Marlene is officially retired after 17 years as an MP, and Lee has a hell of a fight ahead of her. We don't yet have an office, we won't be able to get people to canvass, arg. And I'm supposed to be studying!

EDIT 2: 7:37 pm - to make matters worse they've pre-empted Coronation St.! Some freaking nerve!

EDIT 3: 7:47 pm - this has been dragging on since at least April!

nervous on the edge of my seat

Random bits of Canadian history

This is the first time in history that the government has fallen on a pure vote of no-confidence. The other times the government has fallen (4 previous) it was either done on a budget vote, or on a Throne Speech.

"That this House has lost confidence in the government"
