(no subject)

Man, I'd better be pregnant! Otherwise I have no excuse at all for being so tired. I napped Saturday afternoon, then fell asleep at 8:30 - 9:00 Saturday night and I didn't wake up until 5:30 Sunday morning. I was ready for a nap again at 10:30am, but had people coming over so thought it was best to clean instead. And I was back in bed by 9:30 last night.

Of course, I could be getting ready to go have the blood drawn to find out, but instead I sit here sipping a decaf, reading blogs. I still have the dogs to walk too.

Yes, I said dogs. Sasha came to live with us Saturday afternoon. The dogs are still getting used to each other, so are separated for now. Chet just wants to play, and I think Sasha's a bit more 'mature' than that, so he's bugging her a bit.

Here she is in the kitchen (aka disaster zone #1):

And here's Chet hanging around outside the kitchen, keeping a close watch on things:

Sadly, he is also showing off what the vet so graciously called 'his winter weight'. He is currently at 92lbs! It would appear that me slowing down over the past few weeks was compounded by making it up to him with treats. We're going to have to do a lot more work to get his hourglass figure back. He also has a small lump that needs to be removed from the top of his mouth. As getting your fingers into his mouth at the vet's is always a challenge, the doc isn't sure what exactly it is. He's did manage to get a little feel of it with the help of some treats, and thinks it might just be a wart. Poor dude!

Oh, and the cat has been hilarious with the two dogs. You could almost see the eye roll as she marched into the room and directly between the two of them. After she freaked out so badly when we got Chet, it was nice to see her trot right over Sasha's bed, with Sasha still sleeping in it. No hissing or spitting to be heard!

I've now managed to burn 3 pieces of toast (mad skills in the kitchen!) which is clearly a sign to get my butt in gear.
