I'm sitting here in my comfy warm basement watching the GB game, where it's -18C and I'm completely amazed. More so when hubby opened the back door to let the dogs out and I got a taste of the -14C outside air.
Who the hell are these people? Not only to be a fan, starting with a tailgate, partying all day outside, but then the o-line is in short sleeves! Damn, I'm fairly sure they've got frost on their skin. Put a damn parka on.
Even better, or really worse, is this line from this article "...during the Ice Bowl game against the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 31, 1967 when the temperature was 13 below zero with a wind chill of minus-46. One fan at that game died of exposure." Freakin' died of exposure? Is it really worth it to watch a football game? I know, they often wait their whole lives to see a game and only have one chance at the tickets, their place on the waiting list being willed to their grandchildren, but I'd rather spend time with my grandkids.
ps - looks like Lawrence Tynes is headed back to Scotland with a kick like that!
ETA - twice!!!
ETAA - I guess he redeemed himself.
