The fridge that just keeps dying

Let's say you wake up to a dead fridge. What do you check to see if you can save first?

French fries
0(0.0%)
Sirloin steak
1(16.7%)
Icecream sandwiches
4(66.7%)
Pound of bacon
1(16.7%)
An 8-month old tray of portioned baby food
0(0.0%)

Ya, that's right. You know what happened to our fridge yesterday. Woke up at the usual time, got my coffee etc, then the bleariness cleared and I noticed the freezer reading 37F and the fridge was at 46F. Silly me for thinking that our 7 month nightmare was over just because we had a few months without anything going wrong with it!

Luckily hubby had kept the board they replaced one of the previous times they were in to fix something...acutally, funny that our other problems were that the fridge was too cold, now it was too damn hot! Sadly, that got them off the hook for replacing the fridge (3 major component replacements = new appliance, but maybe that's a good thing, since we know how hard it is for them to deliver a working, non-dented appliance to us)
