I knew there was a reason I didn't read the news before having my coffee: Dog kept in plastic box
Who does she think she is?

What I don't understand is how in the world these people could think that this was a good idea to begin with.

I mean, how does one say, "You know, I think it would be good to keep the dog in this plastic tub when we're not 'using' it," and think that this is actually acceptable?????

The standards by which I measure whether something is good for an animal is by asking myself, "Would I be happy and comfortable and healthy like this?" I mean you have to make a few small changes, tailor made for the specific animal, but Jeezus, a freakin plastic tub????....*smacks forehead*

I really think people should be psychologically screened before they are allowed to keep and care for anything living.

I'm just REALLY relieved to see that the dog was in otherwise good condition. It would have really ruined my morning to have read otherwise.

I think they should get jail time, and they should be housed in a rubbermaid container and wear a choke chain!

Agreed! Let's write to the uhmm...House of Commons/Parliament/Provincial Congress?

Or better yet, kidnap the mo-fo's and put them in the plastic tub.

Yep, this makes me especially sad, as its one of those 'dangerous' breeds, and this story could have turned out a lot worse. They are really lucky the pup didn't end up with fear/aggression problems.

Only thing remotely positive I can say is at least they did cut air holes in it.....

A good number of people should never have pets. This is why I can't stand to watch a lot of the shows on Animal Planet network. It is so upsetting to see how people treat/mistreat their pets.

Why even bother getting a pet? You know going in you have to 'care' for it, so if you aren't prepared to care, don't get the freaking pet!

If there is something that I can't stand, it's people,(I don't think they deserve to be call that), people that are cruel like that to any living being with no defense.

-Jail! (and the same treatment, by the way, for the couple; each one of them in a plastic bag, (with some holes...), for a couple of days...
Just so the get the 'feel' of what it feels.

I know I sound extreme, but cruelty against animals, I simply can't stand that.

I wonder what passes in a person's mind, to eventually take actions like this.

(sorry for my ranting!) :)

I'm with you on this one, and feel free to rant away. I think a turn in the plastic box, with a choke chain on is a great idea.
